Wii Jackets not just for preventing lawsuits

Wi Jacket

I got my free Wii Remote Jackets yesterday, and guess what, they are actually quite good. They are light and add some much needed grip to the Wiimote. The only downside I can see is if you need to insert your Wiimote into a peripheral (Guitar, steering wheel, etc) then you’ll have to remove the jacket, but still. I never thought I’d be in danger of smashing anything (TV’s, babys) but with my 3 year old playing SkeeBall on Carnival games, the extra insurance is definitely welcome. Thanks Nintendo!

T-Mobile Anyone?

Razr v3t

So, after moving my line to Sprint, my bill on T-Mobile has dropped from $150 to $90. Not too bad considering Sprint is only costing me $30. Unfortunately I was unable to swap contracts at T-Mobile which leaves me with a line of service I won’t be using. Having an extra phone on a family plan only costs $10 a month, vs paying $200 for breaking the contract. So, my offer is this: If anyone has been curious about trying T-Mobile or wants to see how the coverage is where they live/work, let me know. You can borrow this phone if you want. It’s the one pictured above, Moto Razr V3T. And just to make me feel worse for leaving… they gave me a really sweet phone number!

Time for games…

Filed under: Gaming — Ryan @ 10:58 pm

I played a lot of games this past week. Maybe not in sheer hours, but in amount of systems I’ve used. Let me recount them for you.

Soul Calibur II on Gamecube with my son (Mommy, daddy and me played a fighting game!
Portal on Laptop (Awesome!)
Peggle on Laptop
Hot Shots Golf on PSP - Which has taken over the top spot briefly held by Final Fantasy Tactics because well, the golf course isn’t going to kill my whole party by outclassing me and casting spells I don’t even come close to having the mana to cast…. but I digress.
Tetris Splash and Uno on Xbox Live Arcade
Guitar Hero III on PS2

Makes me wonder how many systems I can use over the course of a weekend. Maybe i’ll find out. Reading all the news about the upcoming Arkanoid makes me want to go back to PS1 and play the original, WITH a paddle. While I’m at it, I can certainly find something worth playing on the Dreamcast (Powerstone anyone?) I wish I had never gotten rid of all my old systems. Damn ebay…
