Mac Heist
Attention Mac users! Every year during MacWorld Expo (at least 2, afaik) various shareware companies offer up their software for a very low bundle price to benefit charities. It’s called macheist and I highly recommend buying the bundle. Even if you think you may need one of the apps in here in the future, do it. It’s only $49 and you get 11 apps. Check out the website for more info on what’s included.
XBOX Live - What the hell?
What is up with Microsoft!? XBOX Live has been one of the most reliable services I’ve ever used from the first day I got my Xbox. However, all that changed after Christmas, and since then it’s been broken. They’ve had more than enough time to fix their issues, whatever they may be. But as of last night I still had trouble logging in to play some Uno. They say will be offering up a free game to compensate, but that was when the outage was only 10 days old, now we’re up to 3 weeks and still the issues persist. I haven’t read the XBOX forums, but I’m sure there are tons of scathing comments from rabid users. Like most people, I just find something else to do or play, but still… this is a pay service, and it should be more resilient.
